It’s the beginning of a thing that makes me more happy than I can say. Feels big and important and like the source of a lot of happy moments to come.
After working for six years for my town’s Cultural Council, this year I am starting on this new adventure of a venue for arts and culture on the buildings and grounds of the First Parish church in town, a historic and just stunning location. The Meetinghouse Arts Center. How good does that sound?
The venue will host art events, classes, workshops, lectures, gatherings to bring the community together, to fill needs for entertainment, cultural exposure, artist support, communal well-being and I’m sure I could think of more. And the group of people who are making this happen are all incredible human beings and I love being around them.
Hoping this will take off and be a success and our town will benefit from these efforts. We are kicking off the season with some great concerts (after an already successful Soular Jazz festival). Check out the website and if you’re local, stop by. If not, hey, start something in your town!
